The Vision

Hi, I’m Karen. I started Camera Club because I wanted to create a space for photography that feels a bit different – somewhere relaxed, inclusive, and focused on the creative process rather than just the technical specs.
I want to change the narrative around photography groups. Instead of gear-heavy lectures and formal studio setups, I’m building a community that’s about getting outside, building confidence, and finding your own “eye.”
Female Led
Open to All
Camera Club is female-led and female-focused. My goal is to create a supportive environment where women feel empowered to pick up their cameras and shoot what they love.
That said, the door is open to everyone. If you’re looking for a photography community that’s more about the “walk and talk” and less about the competitive side of things, you’re more than welcome to join us.
The 2026 Plan
I’m keeping things simple this year with a Monthly Photo Walk.
The idea is to keep it casual, fun, and completely free. We’ll meet once a month at different local spots for a wander. It’s a chance to practice in a low-pressure setting, meet new people, and just enjoy taking pictures.
I’d love for this to grow into something more in the future, but for now, let’s just get outside and start creating.
