Summer Photography Evening
Date: Thursday 16 July
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Location: Belmont House & Gardens
For this Summer Photography Evening, I invite you to bring your camera and enjoy a couple of hours creating photos in the beautiful grounds of Belmont House. Come and enjoy the serene spaces of the Kitchen and Walled Gardens and make time to create some beautiful photographs, guided by myself.
The emphasis of the evening will be based around floral and garden photography but they are very much relaxed and unstructured evenings so whatever type of photography you enjoy, you can participate. There will be a selection of fun props and beautiful backdrops for you to get creative with, as well as plenty of foliage for styling your photographs.
Open to all…
My summer photography evenings are suitable for any level of camera user, from beginners to pros. All types cameras are welcome too, even smartphones! These evenings are about making time to be creative and enjoy photographing the beautiful gardens at Belmont!
Children that are interested in photography are very welcome but must be accompanied by a guardian/adult and must be taking part in the workshop/using a camera. If you are looking to learn how to use the settings on your camera then one of my 1-2-1 training will be ideal for you.
If it Rains…
Because, as you well know, British Summer weather isn’t always what we hope it will be, we have access to some beautiful large Greenhouses for the evening, there is also plenty of shelter throughout the garden so being creative needn’t stop in wet weather.
I will be joined by Local Photographer Emily Rose Parris who will show you the art of the traditional photographic process of cyanotype by creating your very own botanical cyanotype print. This is a beautiful process and is very much at the foundation of the photographic documentation of plants and flowers. I will also provide a few tip sheets to offer inspiration and give you the chance to pick up some new skills if you desire! There will be tea and homemade cake on offer too!
